Nic is the Principal Lawyer and Managing Director behind Colwell Legal Pty Ltd, the Queensland law firm behind Colwell Wills. His background is in Queensland property law — since taking the helm of Colwell Conveyancing Group's transformation in 2022, he's focused on delivering professional legal services that combine real technology with a genuine focus on the client experience, rather than the other way around. Colwell Wills extends that same approach from property into estate planning: straightforward, technology-led legal work for the situations that don't need a law-firm appointment to get right.

Nic is committed to fostering relationships, leveraging technology, and optimising the customer experience — the same principles that shaped Colwell Conveyancing Group now shape Colwell Wills.

Outside of the firm, Nic contributes to the community through a range of not-for-profit leadership roles. He is a Board Director of RSL Queensland, the Honorary Solicitor at the Gaythorne RSL Sub-branch, and a co-founder and Director of Protegas Australia Pty Ltd, a veteran-owned specialist consulting firm with offices in Brisbane, Canberra, and Western Australia. He has a young family and finds joy in spending time outdoors, exploring the world, and cheering on his beloved Brisbane Lions.
